Following the difficult decision to close Old Palace senior school in the summer of 2025, the school site is now marketed for sale. The John Whitgift Foundation is working with Knight Frank on the sale and further particulars are available from Knight Frank’s Education & Charities Team (contact institutional@knightfrank.com or phone Emma Cleugh 0207861 5427) .
Old Palace school will continue to operate as normal for the girls still on the school roll for the rest of the academic year, and arrangements are in place to ensure the marketing of the site causes minimal disruption to current pupils and staff. The Foundation will continue to work with pupils’ families, alumnae, The Friends of Old Palace Croydon and other local stakeholders, so that those most affected by the school closure are kept updated.
The site is being marketed as a whole, however it is likely that some parties will be interested in individual parcels and proposals for these will be considered too.
The site has considerable heritage and historical significance and work with Heritage Advisers continues to ensure that the importance of the site is reflected throughout the sale process and to any potential buyers.
