Students at Whitgift and Trinity School are celebrating remarkable GCSE results.
At Whitgift School, 42% of all grades were awarded at the highest grade of 9, while 69% of grades were awarded at grades 8 or 9. In total, more than 1,500 grades were awarded at 8 or 9, with 88% of all grades achieved at grade 7 or above. Read the full report from Whitgift School here.
At Trinity School, 44% of all grades were awarded at the top grade 9. In a year group of 138 students, 71% of all grades were awarded at 9–8 and 86% at grades 9–7. Read the full report from Trinity School here.
Huge milestone
CEO of the John Whitgift Foundation, Roisha Hughes, said: “Congratulations to Whitgift and Trinity School students on their GCSE results. This is a huge milestone, and it’s a real testament to the students’ hard work and the unwavering support of their teachers and school staff.
“We’re delighted that many will be continuing their journey into Sixth Form to begin their A-Levels, and as a Foundation we’re proud to keep supporting our schools as these students take the next step in their education. For those moving on elsewhere, we wish them every success on the path towards their chosen career.”
Excelling in a range of interests
Academic achievement is an important part of life at school, but students have also contributed enormously to life at Trinity and Whitgift and the wider community. This group has excelled in a range of interests and co-curricular activities, from sport to drama to charitable activities.
