APPOINTMENT OF ASSOCIATE VICAR IN THE PARISH OF CROYDON AND CHAPLAIN IN THE JOHN WHITGIFT FOUNDATION
The Parish of Croydon and John Whitgift Foundation are pleased to announce the appointment of the Revd Michael Walcott as Associate Vicar in the Parish of Croydon and Chaplain in the John Whitgift Foundation.
Fr Michael Walcott
Fr Michael is currently Priest in Charge of St Jude’s Parish in Barbados. He was born and brought up in Barbados and trained for ordination in the Diocese of Barbados at Codrington Seminary.
Fr Michael will move to Croydon from Barbados in the summer, with dates to be confirmed when we can welcome him here.
The Role
The role is a newly configured post that gives support to the ministry of the Vicar across the parish of Croydon, and particularly at Croydon Minster. It will provide chaplaincy at Whitgift School and in Whitgift Care through being present in those communities, leading worship and offering pastoral care and formation in the Christian faith, as well as considering how chaplaincy develops across the Foundation in the future.
Fr Michael will be in post for the Michaelmas Term 2025.
