Special guest joins virtual Founder’s Day Service for 425th anniversary
The Most Revd and the Rt Hon Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury, features in today’s Founder’s Day Service to mark 425 years since Archbishop John Whitgift laid the first foundation stones of his Hospital of the Holy Trinity.
The Archbishop leads the Address and pays tribute to the legacy left by John Whitgift and how we can use his vision of education and care to support many in the community through these difficult times.
Sadly, because of the pandemic we are unable to honour this special occasion in our usual manner, but instead, you can enjoy our service virtually and in your own time.
This moving celebration includes music from choristers at our three schools, readings by the Head Boys and Girls, care home residents, the Foundation’s Chairman, Christopher Houlding, and The Revd Canon Dr Andrew Bishop.
