John Whitgift Foundation

The John Whitgift Foundation has been serving Croydon since 1596. From supporting young people through an outstanding independent education to caring for those around us, our charity works with people of all ages and backgrounds and brings them together to inspire a sense of community in all that we do.

As a charity, we have a long and rich heritage, from the Hospital of the Holy Trinity to the modern-day John Whitgift Foundation. Over the last 426 years, we’ve been caring for the people of Croydon using the land and assets set aside by our founder to continue our charitable work. From educating the young, caring for those most vulnerable, and assisting the elderly in their later years, John Whitgift Foundation is proud to continue our founder’s legacy of caring for Croydon and its local communities.
