Fr. Michael will be based primarily at Croydon Minster, working closely with the Vicar of Croydon, Fr. Andrew Bishop. Together they will serve the parish, with Fr. Michael offering dedicated pastoral and liturgical ministry to the John Whitgift Foundation in the areas of care and education.
On Sunday 28 September, the Rt. Revd Rosemarie Mallett, Bishop of Croydon, led a special service to formally welcome Fr. Michael. She remarked, “It was wonderful to formally welcome Fr. Michael to his joint post as Chaplain to the John Whitgift Foundation and associate vicar of Croydon Minster. Michael has made a wonderful start to his work here in Croydon. We look forward to his ministry and leadership as it develops, especially with the young people he is charged to spiritually and pastorally care for.”
