John Whitgift Foundation is delighted to welcome Mr Toby Seth, MA as the new permanent Headmaster of Whitgift School.
Mr Seth joins us from The Pocklington School Foundation in Yorkshire, where he fostered a warm and thriving school environment during his Headship, leading the school through the challenging pandemic years and prioritising high-quality pastoral care and education.
Toby’s appointment was announced in April 2024 following a highly competitive process. Since then, Toby has been working with staff, students and families at Whitgift to gear up for the new academic year.
For the 2024/25 academic year Whitgift school was led by Andrew Halls, OBE, previously Head of KCS Wimbledon and Magdalen College.
Educated at Dulwich College before graduating from Trinity College, Cambridge, where he read Modern and Medieval Languages, Toby started his teaching career at Dulwich College in 2002. He then held a variety of teaching and leadership posts at Wellington College, The Godolphin and Latymer School and The King’s School Macclesfield, prior to his move to Pocklington.
