The past 18 months have been some of the most testing for the everyone, and especially for young people. Despite this our foundation’s three leading independent schools, Old Palace of John Whitgift, Whitgift and Trinity, have achieved outstanding A-level and International Baccalaureate (IB) examination results.
Over 90% of the Trinity School’s a-level students secured their first choice of institution for next year, including degree apprenticeships, university in the US, and Art Foundation courses. Of the cohort of 146 students, 39 were awarded straight A* grades, with particular congratulations to 8 of them for achieving 5 A*s.
82% of Whitgift School grades were A*/A, and nearly 90% of the a-level students in this year’s cohort achieved grades for their first choice university. The grades were robustly and carefully calculated, and the results are a great tribute to the students’ hard work and their attitude to these uniquely difficult circumstances.
Speaking of Old Palace of John Whitgift School’s results, Head, Mrs Jane Burton said: ”Well done to all Old Palace students on their excellent A level results and for securing their university places. After such a difficult time it is wonderful to see our students achieve the results they deserve and we wish them all the very best for the next stage of their education”
