[vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1661953735598{margin-bottom: 50px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text]426 years ago, our founder Archbishop of Canterbury John Whitgift wanted to leave a legacy that would care for the people of Croydon long after his passing. Today we operate the Carers Information Service as a free advice, information, and support resource for unpaid carers in Croydon. Any carer that lives in or cares for someone in Croydon can access this service free of charge without an appointment Monday-Friday. We have a wide range of facilities and types of support available so whatever your carer needs may be, we can assist you.<\/p>\n

Operating in the heart of Croydon on George Street in partnership with Croydon Council for nearly ten years, we operate the Carers Support Centre as the one-stop shop for all carer needs, which is also home to a number of other carer support organisations. Thanks to the generous support from John Whitgift Foundation and Croydon Council we now receive over 25,000 carer enquiries every year. As we\u2019ve been established in Croydon for many years, we have a vast network of carers and professionals who use our service, so we\u2019re constantly updating our resources and learning how to support our carers better.<\/p>\n

The Centre is open for drop-ins, no appointment needed, from 10am til 1pm Monday to Friday and all visitors will have access to an Advice Worker. Our telephone lines are open from 9am \u2013 5pm on weekdays.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re a carer in need of support you can visit our Carers Information Service website to find all the information, resources, support, and advice that you need. You can also find information on our regular activities where we aim to bring carers together to socialise and take a break from the pressures of their caring roles. The Carers Support Centre also has several facilities, including offices and hourly room hire.
